Hello Angel Boosters . . . Our July 7th Meeting was short and sweet. We were unable to obtain a speaker, but we had some great raffles and everyone heard from the Board.

         Thank you to everyone who helped to make our Annual Freeway Series Blood Drive such a success. Of course the Angels Booster Club won the race against the Dodgers Booster Club once again (387 to 266 votes). We collected a total of 599 units of blood in one day, which is up to 1797 lives helped to save! The presentation of the Red Cross Trophy will be at a future date at Angel Stadium during a pregame ceremony.

         Congratulations to Casey Jones, who was voted our Booster of the Month, for the month of June, 2008. Casey worked the whole day on our Blood Drive, is always there to work at the General Meetings and to get us autographs of players from events.  

         A big Angel welcome to all our new booster members for the month of July. I'm looking forward to working with all of you in the future.

         Our Annual Picnic on July 12th was great! Thank you to everyone who helped-out with this event, without our 'teamwork' we never could have pulled it off. Everyone had a really good time with games and prizes, excellent food and just a wonderful day to get together and mingle with other Booster Members.

         Don't forget to sign-up and pay to reserve your spot at our Annual Player/Alumni Luncheon on August 23rd at the Phoenix Club in Anaheim. As of yet we do not have the list of scheduled players and alumni, but it's guaranteed to be exciting! Our August 11th General Meeting will be the last time for you to sign-up.

         We will soon have Playoff and World Series tickets for sale on a 'lottery' basis, start to think about that and plan ahead (you know the Angels are going to make it).

         We also need new members to run for our Board of Directors this year, please contact Susan Milslagle or any of the other current Board members for information. We need help to make our club even better that it is. I'm sure a lot of you have some very good ideas, and being on the Board of Directors is the way to contribute to the club and get things done.

         Also, everyone start thinking about our Annual Dinner on November 8th and our Annual Toy Drive Brunch on December 13th. Hope to see everyone at our next General Meeting on August 11th and keep cheering on our team!
