Hey  Boosters . . . Well we've had some good games and some bad games, but the 2009 season is progressing fairly well.  Get out there and cheer on our team and let's get some of our players off the DL.
        Our speaker at our May 4th meeting was Casey Sosa, Sales Rep from the Orange County Flyers.  It was really interesting to hear about their organization, coaches and many players who have gone-on to the 'bigs.' Judy Lavin has a group of Boosters going to one of their games later this year, see her to sign-up (they play at Cal State Fullerton).

         The Annual Red Cross Blood Drive has been postponed from May 30th.  We have
not been able to obtain a place to 'stage' the main portion of the drive. An alternate date may be June 13th, but wait for further info to plan to work this event or give blood.  Also, it seems that this year, after 10 years with the Angels & Dodger organizations, it will be strictly a Booster event.  This does not mean there will not be tickets, drawings, etc - just
that the Angels & Dodger organizations are not part of our sponsorship.
         For those of you who have signed-up for various committees:  By-Laws Committee Meeting is 5/11/09, Special Events Committee Meeting is 5/21/09, Board Meeting is 5/28/09 and our next General Meeting is June 1st, 2009. We have a trip planned for June 1st-June 7th to Toronto and Detroit.  Also, there is a group of us going to Arizona June 26-June 28.  Later trips will be to San Diego and Oakland (contact Judy Lavin regarding future trips).
         Thanks to all of you who have been working the Promotions and the Membership
Table at the Stadium.  We can't do it without you.  Also, a special recognition to Susan Milslagle as our April '09 Booster of the Month.  Susan was a Board Member for 6 years, ending last November - but she is still there to run the Promotions and  help with anything we need done.  Her husband Tom and her daughter Amy have been recognized in the past, as they are there for every promotion also.
